Lewisburg Children’s Museum announces Free Community Friday

The Lewisburg Children’s Museum (LCM) announces the second Free Community Friday of the year on June 7, 10am – 4pm. All guests may come to play at the museum for zero admission cost during the one-day event. Free Community Days in 2024 are made possible thanks to a sponsorship by UPMC and UPMC Health Plan.

In addition to free admission, the Museum will offer several hands-on crafts and activities centered on summer safety during the morning 10am-12pm. A special guest from UPMC will read a story for guests at 12:15pm.

“It is a great way for families to kick off the summer with a free day at the museum,” said Mary Beth Harris, LCM Executive Director. “We have had so many families express their gratitude to being able to visit the museum for free.”

Free Community Friday is not the only opportunity to visit the Lewisburg Children’s Museum for free this summer. The LCM is a Blue Star Museum which offers free admission to active military families for up to 5 people from Armed Services Day (May 18) through Labor Day (September 2). Families can also check their local library for LCM Family Passes that are available to check-out. LCM Family Passes are available at 15 local libraries thanks to a grant from the Charles and Betty Degenstein Foundation.
