LEWISBURG – Only one more day remains to get in that last meal at The Country Cupboard. The restaurant announced Friday it’s ending all in-house dining as of this Saturday. They say they have had an overwhelming response in the dining room, but they do have a lack of staff and must close.
The Country Cupboard will then be closed Sunday through next Tuesday. Its gift shops will then be open from next Wednesday, February 23 through next Saturday, February 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bakery will be open during that time as well with limited bakery and deli items available while supplies last.
The Country Cupboard announced its permanent closing during a press conference late last month, after 49 years in business.
