KULPMONT – A 17-year-old teenager from Kulpmont has been charged with multiple counts of arson. The News Item reports Kaylee Fern was charged for setting fire to a porch at 1110 N. Vine Street, that was occupied by seven people.
Police say Kern poured whiskey on a bench and discarded garbage bags on a side porch and lit them on fire before fleeing. Residents of the home were sleeping at the time. No one was injured and fire was contained to the porch.
Kern is also accused of using a sharp object to puncture two tires and scratch the hood of a vehicle owned by one of the residents in the home. (Ali Stevens)
