KULPMONT – State police have charged a Kulpmont resident with assaulting a 16-year-old boy with a knife. Troopers say 36-year-old Charllyn Ruiz went to the teen’s home in Kulpmont and cut the boy’s nose with a knife during a altercation March 2. Ruiz was arrested and sent to Northumberland County jail on charges including aggravated assault.
