SUNBURY – A new era is officially underway in the city of Sunbury. During a special city council meeting Tuesday, new Mayor Kurt Karolvich was sworn into office by the new District Magistrate Mike Toomey.
“I’m happy right now. Today truly begins a new tomorrow for all of Sunbury. I just want to thank everyone who came out.”
Now at the helm, Karlovich says it’s all about adjusting to everyone he’s working with on council, “Right now, it’s just finding a way to work alongside all the council members, so we can all get on the same page. So the next couple of weeks is truly going to be a learning process. I want everyone to remember that I’m truly new at this.”
