LEWISBURG – It was a packed house at Applebee’s in Lewisburg on Wednesday evening for the annual Camp Cadet fundraiser. Trooper Rick Blair says just over $5,000 was raised to support Camp Cadet.
State police waited on tables, bartended and cooked dinners for tips, with all money raised supporting the cause. Susquehanna Valley Law Enforcement Camp Cadet is held each June at Susquehanna University, teaching kids about law enforcement, discipline, teamwork, self-esteem and more.
Registration is available on their website at www.svlecc.com. The camp is for kids ages 12 to 15 in Snyder, Union, Northumberland and Montour Counties. (Ali Stevens)
