Judith Groninger “always had borough at heart”

NorthumberlandNORTHUMBERLAND – Funeral arrangements have been announced for a former Northumberland borough council member.  75-year-old Judith Groninger died at her home in Northumberland on Sunday.

 

Paul Ruane worked with Groninger for 13 years while he served as a code officer, “She always had the  borough at heart.  Her and her sister Gretchen.  They were two terrific people.  It was my pleasure to know her.”

 

Groninger was the owner of Groninger Insurance, which she started with her late husband James in 1969.  Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at first Regular Baptist Church on Queen Street in Northumberland.  Contributions in Judith’s memory can be made to Northumberland Christian School.  (Ali Stevens)
