COAL TOWNSHIP – An inmate was taken to Geisinger Medical Center after his throat was slashed at SCI Coal Township. State police say Sean Marquise Sykes was getting a drink of water at a fountain when another inmate slashed his throat with an unknown weapon on July 4.
Sykes was taken to Geisinger, where he was treated for moderate injuries. Troopers say the investigation continues and no suspect has been identified. (Ali Stevens)
