MIDDLEBURG – An inmate at the Snyder County Prison has been charged with assaulting a corrections officer at the prison. State police say 61-year-old Vincent Pittiglio of Northumberland is accused of punching a 60-year-old corrections officer in the face May 26.
Troopers say the corrections officer went into Pittiglio’s cell to remove a blanket he had put up to obscure the view and was punched in the face. Pittiglio has been charged with aggravated assault. (Ali Stevens)
