NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY — Ice contributed to a number of accidents, as spotty freezing drizzle made roads slippery. A Quakertown man suffered a laceration to his forehead as a result of a one vehicle accident just after midnight in Zerbe Township, Northumberland County. 20-year-old Liam Buckley was traveling north on Upper Road when he lost control of his vehicle when turning on an icy curve. The vehicle then left the road and struck an embankment and utlility pole.
Buckley was taken to Geisinger Medical Center for treatment of his injury. He was wearing a seatbelt. (Matt Catrillo)
