SELINSGROVE – Susquehanna University will be honoring 2 people with honorary degrees this spring. Concert pianist Awadagin Pratt will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during the commencement ceremony on May 16. Pratt will also deliver the keynote address at the ceremony.
Sunbury attorney John A. Carpenter, an emeritus member of Susquehanna’s Board of Trustees, will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree a week later at a separate occasion.
Susquehanna University’s 160th commencement will be Wednesday, May 16th at 1pm in the James W. Garrett Sports Complex Field House.
