BENTON – State police continue to investigate a homicide that happened Thursday in the Benton area of Columbia County. Trooper say 24-year-old Bryan Harris of Ridge Road was killed by his roommate, 25-year-old Cea Jay Chattin.
Police say Chattin shot Harris in the head in the residence they shared. Chattin is also accused of burglarizing a home on Waller Divide Road. Chattin was charged with criminal homicide, burglary, aggravated assault and other counts.
He is locked up in the Columbia County Prison without bail. The Press Enterprise reports the two men were fighting over a woman they were both having a relationship with. (Ali Stevens)
