SUNBURY – The Muncy Historical Society is playing host to world-class artists this weekend. The ninth annual Artists Exhibition and Sale will be this Friday and Saturday, at the Pennsdale Civic Center.
Bill Poulton, executive director for the historical society says the Friday evening reception is an upscale event, “It’s become the social event for The Valley. People come out and have a glass of wine, eat some finger food and look at the marvelous art that’s for sale and exhibit.”
Most of the artists will be available Friday evening to talk about their work, “It’s two-dimensional art, which is paintings, and also three-dimensional art which would be sculpture, either glass, wood or metal. All original pieces and a few limited edition prints.”
Friday’s reception is from 5:30p.m until 9p.m and Saturday’s show runs from 9a.m until 3p.m. Tickets are $15 for Friday and $10 for Saturday and are available at the door.
