MILTON — A career criminal was apprehended by Pennsylvania State Police last night after a high-speed chase on Interstate 80 Thursday night. Anas Abulaban of Jersey City, NJ was seen driving a stolen Audi sports car westbound on I-80. Troopers picked up the vehicle at mile marker 216 in Northumberland County and engaged in a fifteen mile chase at speeds exceeding 120 miles per hour.
Abulaban lost control of the vehicle, hit another car and crashed into the center median. He fled on foot across the eastbound lanes into the woods where he was found and arrested on White Deer Pike. He was treated for injuries at Geisinger Medical Center and then arraigned on charges of receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding and other offenses. Abulaban has at least 10 arrests on his record in New Jersey.
