MIFFLINBURG – Local elected officials and library dignitaries recently got a sneak peek of the Herr Memorial Library expansion project taking place in Mifflinburg. The project will add a two-story 2,665 square foot addition to the rear of the existing building.
Also there will be a new all-purpose meeting space, a renovated basement for new programming, an elevator with access to all floors, additional circulation space and renovations to the sunroom. A capital campaign for the project was launched in January of last year, in an effort to raise $700,000 for the renovations. The library received a $250,000 Keystone, Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund grant. (Ali Stevens)
