MIFFLINBURG – Expansion of the Herr Memorial Library in Mifflinburg is almost complete. To prepare for the upcoming opening of the new expansion, the library will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Library materials can still be returned using drop boxes at the library. The West End Library in Laurelton and the Public Library for Union County in Lewisburg will be open for normal business on those days.
The expansion to the existing library is two-stories and 2,665 square feet, to the rear of the library. The new addition will include an all-purpose community room, a renovated basement, an elevator to all floors and additional circulation space. (Ali Stevens)
