MOUNT CARMEL – After only a month on the job, the head football coach at Mount Carmel Area High School has resigned. The News Item reports Frank Sheptock is back at Berwick Area School District and will continue as their athletic director.
Sheptock confirmed his resignation on Thursday saying, “After being there a couple days, I just felt the situation wasn’t the right fit for me.” Mount Carmel Superintendent Bernard Stellar told the paper, “We are disappointed, as you would expect. We thought he could make a real impact at Mount Carmel, both on the football field and with his presence in the school district.”
