NORTHUMBERLAND — A growing church is having a celebration this weekend as they unveil a major accessibility step forward.
Pastor Darrin Hunt says the Amazing Grace Community Church will dedicate a new handicap-accessible lift this Sunday at 10am.
The church is located at 138 Leed Street in Northumberland and began just 11 years ago in a local warehouse. It later moved into a former church building that lacked full accessibility. Pastor Hunt says the lift now connects all three floors, opening the entire building to everyone for the first time.
A new main entrance with handicap parking was also added. Sunday’s grand opening is open to the public. Church leaders say the project was fully funded through community support and faith. They have more information at www.agccnorry.org.
