SUNBURY – State grant money will allow for rehabilitation of Sunbury’s flood wall. The Sunbury Municipal Authority received $228,000 from the Marcellus Legacy Fund.
The rehabilitation project is expected to cost $269,000 to replace caulking and joints, repair concrete and inject epoxy into cracks in the flood wall. Repairs to the 80-year-old system will ensure the existing level of flood protection is maintained.
The Marcellus Legacy Fund receives money from natural gas impact fees and is administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority. (Jennifer Wakeman)
