Gasbuddy: State and National Gas Prices Drop Further

HARRISBURG – The latest worries over inflation have are still pushing gasoline prices down statewide and nationwide.

Gasbuddy.com reported Monday Pennsylvania prices at the pump fell 6.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.61 per gallon.

Nationally, gas prices fell 4.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.33 per gallon – this after staying the same last week. National diesel prices fell 7.7 cents per gallon in the past week and stands at $4.38 per gallon.

Gasbuddy.com says wholesale gasoline prices fell last week on what their analyst called ‘worrisome inflation figures’ showing the fed likely to ramp up interest rates still further. Gasbuddy says gas prices could continue dropping in the weeks ahead—even during a period when they would traditionally rise, all due to the latest inflationary data.
