Gasbuddy: Prices Could Fall Below $4 by Mid-August

HARRISBURG – Gasoline prices statewide and nationally fell again this week, but soon, prices at the pump could drop below $4 per gallon. Gasbuddy says this significant drop could come barring major hurricanes, outages or unexpected disruptions.

Gasbuddy says this is the fifth straight week gas prices have dropped, with the pace of recent declines accelerating to some of the most significant seen in years.

Statewide, gas prices fell 10.4 cents per gallon in the past week, nationally they fell 15.8 cents per gallon. The national average price of diesel also declined 10.8 cents per gallon this past week.
