Gasbuddy: Banking Failures Caused Dip in Gas Prices

HARRISBURG – Gasoline prices in Pennsylvania and nationwide fell this week, in reaction to the concern over U. S. and global banking failures.

Gasbuddy.com reported Monday state gas prices fell 3.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.58 per gallon. Gas prices nationwide fell 4.2 cents per gallon, averaging $3.40 per gallon.

The national price of diesel has fallen 5.6 cents per gallon in the last week and stands at $4.25 cents per gallon.

Gasbuddy says these drops in prices may be temporary, and should the banking outlook improve, we could again see gas prices race higher.
