SELINSGROVE – Time to improve Little Norway…Selinsgrove’s Little Norway Ice Skating Rink is The Valley’s only free outdoor ice rink, but some costly repairs are needed. The rink is available using volunteers and donations, but some upgrades are needed.
The repair needs include a water pump to fill the rink, a new clay base that will extend the skating season by several weeks, additional light poles to illuminate the rink, new ice skates, and other facility upgrades.
Former mayor of Selinsgrove Sean Christine has started a fundraising campaign to try and keep the free skating rink going. He is using Go Fund Me to try to raise the needed funds. The link can be found here: http://www.gofundme.com/mznv68. (Ali Stevens)
