BERWICK – NorthcentralPA.com is reporting… Central Susquehanna Opportunities (CSO) recently received a $19,900 grant and an additional $100 from the Community Giving Foundation for launching new projects in Berwick and Bloomsburg.
Most of the grant will be used to launch “Getting Ahead” classes in the Berwick area. These courses are designed to help financially insecure families by giving them tools, resources, and support for achieving self-sufficiency. The courses help participants navigate their current financial challenges and work towards a more stable future.
The remainder of the funding will be used to start a new emergency food pantry at the CSO offices at Mulberry Hill in Bloomsburg. For more information csocares.org or call 570-644-6575.
