SUNBURY – A former teacher’s aide who admitted to having sex with a student in a locker room at Shamokin Area High School has been sentenced to 23 months in county prison. 28-year-old Amanda Dreher of Coal Township was sentenced Monday in Northumberland County Court for felony institutional sexual assault.
Police say Dreher had sex with an 18-year-old student on three occasions. Dreher was arrested in January of 2014. She must register on Megan’s List for the next 25 years as a sex offender. (Ali Stevens)
