SUNBURY – A garage fire was reported Tuesday morning in an alley in Sunbury. Sunbury Assistant Fire Chief Brad Wertz tells WKOK the fire was reported at a garage near Sixth and Seventh Street, just off Packer Street. Northumberland County Communications tells us the fire was reported just before 11 a.m. It’s unknown how the fire was reported. Wertz says no injuries were reported and there was no damage to structure. No was one inside at time of the blaze.
Wertz says crews put the fire out in about 10 minutes. He says the fire is still being investigated. Only Sunbury Fire Department responded. Wertz says its unknown if anyone owns the garage.
