ELYSBURG – One woman is dead after a fire near Elysburg early Saturday morning. WNEP is reporting the woman killed was Southern Columbia field hockey coach Ellen Sosnoski. The coroner has not yet identified the victim.
The fire was at a home in the village of Overlook and started in the kitchen on the first floor of the two-story home at 219-221 Mountain Road. One other woman was able to escape the fire safely. A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. (Ali Stevens)
