DALMATIA – Fire leveled a cabin in the Dalmatia area early Tuesday morning. Dispatchers at Northumberland County Communications tell us the 2am fire broke out near Route 147 in Lower Mahanoy Township.
They sent volunteers from Dalmatia, Pillow, Hickory Corners, Herndon, and Millersburg. A ladder truck from Sunbury responded, as did a ‘Rapid Intervention Team’ from Shamokin.
There were no injuries reported and reports from the scene seemed to indicate that the cabin was leveled by that overnight fire in lower Northumberland County.
