DANVILLE – No one hurt in a motel fire last night in Montour County. The Danville volunteer fire department and crews from the East End Fire Company, Southside Fire Company and Montour Township Fire Department (Columbia County) were called to the blaze in Cooper Township, Montour County, Sunday night.
Danville’s fire chief Joe Miller said that the the call came in shortly before 11:30pm for the working fire along Route 11. One women is being questioned by police after that fire broke out causing heavy damage to the Penn Motel. A state police fire marshall was on scene this morning. There are reports, several guests were able to continue staying at that motel.
