PORT TREVORTON – Five volunteer fire companies responded to a fire in Chapman Township, Snyder County early this morning. The fire started around 12:50 a.m. at a home on Meiserville Road, a half-mile east of Route 104.
A passerby called 911 when they saw smoke coming from the home. Crews from Port Trevorton, Mount Pleasant Mills, Liverpool, Middleburg and Freeburg responded and were on the scene until 3:15 a.m. No other details were available. (Ali Stevens)
