Update on the Awl Street fire in Sunbury
SUNBURY — Fire fighters made a good stop in Sunbury over the weekend…so says the Sunbury Fire Chief Russ Wertz. He gave WKOK an update on the investigation into a fire Saturday night on Awl Street. He said volunteers hauled hoses up to the attic and quickly extinguished the blaze. The fire had started in the attic and spread to a second floor bedroom.
He said the investigation is winding down, a state police fire marshal couldn’t determine the cause of the fire. The Saturday night fire happened at 116 Awl Street about 9pm. Chief Wertz
