SELINSGROVE – A female college student was the victim of an attempted sexual assault Sunday night. Susquehanna University reports a student was walking on campus between 12:30a.m and 1:00a.m when she was approached by an unknown male who attempted to fondle her.
In a notification and advisory sent to students electronically early Sunday morning, the university says the student ran from the scene and was not injured in the incident. The man is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall wearing a gray t-shirt and black pants.
Susquehanna urges students not to walk alone, particularly at night, use discretion when taking shortcuts through isolated areas, keep cell phone charged at all times and report suspicious people to public safety. (Jennifer Wakeman)
