UPDATE: The Northumberland County Coroner is out with the name of the woman who died in an accident Monday. She is Lois A. Haas, 80, of White Deer.
DELAWARE TOWNSHIP – A woman is dead after a car crash Tuesday in Northumberland County. State police say the woman, who has not been identified, was travelling north on Musser Lane and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Route 54 in Delaware Township.
Her vehicle was struck by an on-coming tractor trailer driven by Curtis Ebersole of Trevorton. The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Northumberland County Coroner James Kelley. Ebersole was taken to Geisinger Medical Center. His condition is not known at this hour. Route 54 was closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon following that crash.
