Fatal Crash in Jersey Shore due to Medical Injury

JERSEY SHORE – The Sun Gazette is reporting… A man died at the wheel in Jersey Shore. The unidentified 69-year-old man driving an SUV was fatally injured after reportedly experiencing a medical emergency.

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Friday at High and Thomas streets in the borough. Authorities stated the driver crossed Thomas Street, collided with a retaining wall, and traveled approximately 300 feet before coming to a stop.

He was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity is expected to be released later this weekend.
