LEWISBURG — A pre-dawn fire destroyed a home in the Montandon Trailer Park Saturday, killing a family dog. William Cameron Engine Company spokesperson JR Erdley tells WKOK, crews arrived six minutes after the 4:40am call.
Volunteers from Milton and Potts Grove firefighters responded and Erdley detailed that three attack lines were deployed, searches conducted, and a water supply established.
The residents were not home and declined Red Cross aid, relying instead on family support. Erdley says no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. The home is considered a total loss. The cause remains undetermined but not suspicious, and a fire marshal will investigate.
