Families In Recovery Launches Parenting Classes In Middleburg

MIDDLEBURG — A free parenting class for people in recovery begins September 2 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Middleburg. Susquehanna Valley Mediation’s Families in Recovery program says the seven-week class meets Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m., with breakfast available beforehand.

Participants who complete all sessions receive a certificate. Program director Shawnee Robel says the class provides parenting tools, encouragement, and a chance to connect with other families in recovery.

Founded in 2010, Susquehanna Valley Mediation offers training and volunteer opportunities to help resolve disputes in custody, family crises, reentry, eldercare, neighborhoods, and workplaces. More details are available at www.svmediation.org.
