LEWISBURG – As the spread of COVID-19 continues slowing in the Valley, Evangelical Community Hospital has updated its visitor policy. The hospital announced Monday visiting hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. There should be no more than two visitors over the age of 16 in a room at a time – others must wait in the Main Entrance Lobby.
At The Family Place, laboring mothers are allowed one designated support person for the duration of their stay, along with one additional, interchangeable visitor over the age of 16. Other visitors must wait in the Main Entrance Lobby. Doulas are also permitted and will not take the place of the patient’s support persons. Siblings under the age of 16 may also visit during hospital hours.
For end-of-life and medically unstable situations, two visitors over the age of 16 are permitted and visitors under 16 may be considered with further review.
Emergency room patients are allowed two support persons over the age of 16 when they are assigned a room.
One interchangeable, health support person over the age of 16 may accompany outpatients, and two are allowed for patients under 18.
