Longer hours to get medical care
LEWISBURG— After a year-and-a half of operation, Evangelical Community Hospital is changing their Urgent Care hours. Beginning Monday (4/30), the center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week. Currently the facility is open weekdays from 9am to 9pm, and weekends 9-5.
Evangelical President and CEO Kendra Aucker says patient use has shown that they need earlier hours during the week and extended hours on the weekend. Urgent Care of Evangelical is located at the West Branch Medical Center along Route 15 in Lewisburg. The facility offers lower-cost care than an emergency room for non-life threatening needs. Over 18,000 patients have been seen since the opening of that facility in November 2016.
