SUNBURY – New hours are coming for a Northumberland County courthouse office. The prothonotary’s office will begin opening to the public at 10a.m starting February 25. Justin Dunkelberger says his office staff is implementing new case management software that will go live April 4. The later opening time will allow the office more time for training with the new system. On Wednesdays the office opens at 1p.m.
Additional efficiency measures will be addressed, says Dunkelberger, to better serve the legal community and public. The adjusted office hours will be in place until April 29, but could be extended as the prothonotary, President Judge and Northumberland County commissioners work together to improve access and efficiency in the office.
