NORTHUMBERLAND – Watch out for more utility work in Northumberland. The second phase of the Duke Street reconstruction project continues this week. Gas line relocation work continues on Duke Street between Fourth Street and Pond Avenue. Overhead utility work between Fifth and Eighth Streets continues as well.
The detour for northbound traffic will use Fourth Street to King Street, then to Eighth Street and back to Route 147 North. Southbound traffic will take Eighth Street to Queen Street, then to Fifth Street, and back to Duke Street. The truck detour remains in place as well for all trucks over 36 feet in length.
