HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is maintaining a statewide drought watch.
The DEP says precipitation over the last month has increased, but groundwater levels remain low in some counties, including in Montour and Union. The DEP says those counties are advised to conserve water by reducing nonessential water use.
The DEP says 21 public water suppliers are also requesting or requiring water conservation in their communities.
