Dr. Pat Bruno will be Sunbury’s Citizen of the Year

 

SUNBURY – The Sunbury Rotary Club names a Citizen of the Year, and this year, a prominent regional physician is their honoree. Dr. Pat Bruno, will honored at a Rotary Club meeting March 17 in Sunbury. The club says his recogniation will be for his years of service as an advocate for children in The Valley.Dr_ Pat Bruno WEB

Dr. Bruno founded the Child Advocacy Center in Sunbury, then moved it to a Northumberland location in 2004, then to the Geisinger Medical Center campus, then back to Sunbury. He is often regarded as an expert in child abuse cases and has been outspoken regarding issues facing children and adolescents.

The Sunbury Rotary Club each near names a person they feel exemplifies some of the ideals of Rotary. The 2015 recepient was WKOK’s Mark Lawrence.
