Downtown Danville Shoppers Shuttle to Pause at End of Month

DANVILLE – The newly created Downtown Danville Shoppers Shuttle will pause at the end of the month. The program was collaboration between Danville Borough, the Danville Business Alliance, Fishing Creek Transportation and Geisinger.

The shuttle provided transportation to local shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and health care facilities in Danville Borough and Mahoning Township. It was particularly intended to serve families visiting patients at Geisinger.

Geisinger said this week the program is pausing operations to review the outcomes and explore improvements.

After nearly a year of operation, Geisinger says the program met, and in most months, exceeded its goal of an average of 120 riders per month.
