SUNBURY – Boating season is drawing closer as docks are being installed at the Shikellamy
State Park Marina. Dock installation got underway Thursday morning and should be complete by next Friday, which is the official start of boating season on Lake Augusta.
The lake is formed with the inflation of Fabridam, which began April 29 and was fully inflated on May 8. Officials with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources say the season should get off to a great start, with river levels just right. The season will continue through October 4.
