Discover the Drumbeats of the American Revolution

SUNBURY — The war drums will be sounding in about two weeks in Sunbury. The Degenstein History Buffs invite the public to their next meeting at 2pm Tuesday, April 29, at the Degenstein Community Library in Sunbury. They’ll be featuring living history interpreter Brad Becker of Potts Grove.

Becker will demonstrate how drums were used to communicate orders during the American Revolution. “The Revolution began with a drumbeat and ended with one,” he says, noting this month marks the 250th anniversary of the war’s first shots in Lexington.  The free event runs about an hour. All are welcome.
