HARRISBURG – If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, Pennsylvania is encouraging you to think ‘green.’ The Department of Environmental Protection is offering rebates for purchasing an alternative fuel vehicle.
A $2,000 rebate is being offered on large-battery vehicles such as the Nissan Leaf, Ford Focus and Chevy Volt. DEP is offering a $1,000 rebate for plug-in hybrid electric and battery-electric vehicles like Toyota Prius plug-in, Ford C-Max Energi and Honda Accord.
Rebates of $1,000 are also being offered for natural gas, propane, hydrogen or fuel-cell vehicles. There are a limited number of $2,000 rebates. You can find more details online here. (Jennifer Wakeman)
