SUNBURY – The Robert Snyder attempted murder case is moving forward again. After a week of legal wrangling, The Northumberland County District Attorney’s office says key evidence in the case should be allowed in court. Last week, assistant district attorney Michael Toomey submitted a concise summary of their appeal of Judge Paige Rosini’s ruling that suppressed video evidence in the Robert Snyder case.
In the video, Snyder can be heard asking for an attorney. In the filing, Toomey says Snyder was not being interrogated, but that he blurted out incriminating statements while alone in the interview room. Further, the statement claims Judge Rosini erred in suppressing Snyder’s statements after his first request for an attorney because it was prior to police advising him of his Miranda rights.
Snyder is charged with attempting to shoot his wife during an argument at their home in February 2015.
