DANVILLE – A Danville teen has been upgraded to fair condition after falling nearly 300 feet down a cliff in Mayberry Township on Monday afternoon. 17-year-old Jared Jordan was upgraded from serious condition to fair condition at Geisinger Medical Center.
He and a friend, 19-year-old Luke Maffei, were hiking on a cliff known as Zen Rock, when Jordan fell. It took 90 minutes for rescue crews to get Jordan to safety using a rope. Maffei sustained minor injuries trying to help rescue Jordan. (Ali Stevens)
