DANVILLE — The Danville Heritage Festival kicks off early this year with a full day of Garden Tours this Saturday 9am to 5pm.
The self-guided driving tours will feature a wide range of public and private gardens throughout Danville, Riverside, Catawissa, Millville, and Bloomsburg.
The gardens vary from Victorian-era to food forests, ponds, stonework, and native planting designs. The tours are free, donations will be accepted, and they are open to the public.
Organizers say they offer a chance to enjoy nature and gather inspiration for your own backyard. They say they chose late June for peak flower season ahead of the main Heritage Festival, which runs September 5–7. Maps and details: danvilleheritage.com.
