DANVILLE — Thursday the Danville Head Start Pre-K program marked its 60th anniversary of serving local families. Founded in 1965, Administrators said Head Start has provided early education to thousands of children in need across the Danville region.
Director Linda Marshall said Danville’s program has played a vital role locally in the local community. She said, “Sixty years of a federal program is absolutely amazing…You fall in love with the work and the impact.” Parents and educators alike praised Danville’s program for helping children thrive.
